Q&A

What are my favorite parts of the design process?

When insights are formed and development begins — especially wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping! I really enjoy getting to refine designs based on user feedback.

What fascinates me about UI/UX?

The psychology behind user instinct and understanding of UI elements is by far the most interesting aspect. This is one of the few reasons I was drawn this field in the first place!

GDIM Program

Game Design and HCI Student

As a student under UCI’s Game Design and Interactive Media (GDIM) program, I was given the opportunity to explore various career paths in both creative and technical spaces. I dabbled in HCI, software development, game design, project management, and data management, to name a few sectors.

As game design was the forefront of the program, I took on leadership roles in game art and UI/UX design for my senior Capstone project, Grimm’s Gambit.

My responsibilites:

  • Managed and set direction for the Art department, overseeing character and environment design

  • Engaged in recurring collaboration with our programmers, to better the user experience (UX) of our game’s interface elements
